Using royalty-free music/sound effects

Hi,

Is it alright to use royalty-free music and sound effects I own the necessary licenses for in my video?

Ok, thank you. I think it's pretty common for film contests to allow this since it enables  producers to legally make a much higher quality video.

Our legal counsel confirmed that using your music should not be an issue. Thank you for your patience!

Alright, thank you. In order to ensure I have the correct license for my soundtrack, could you let me know whether the video will be used on DVD or tv/radio broadcast. If it will be, I may need to purchase a more comprehensive license.

Hi David,There is a chance the video could be used for a DVD or tv/radio broadcast, so please keep that in mind in terms of your licensing agreement.

Quick Question,Normally when using royalty free music, you can credit the composer in your youtube information/comments. Will this be possible? Otherwise I will have to purchase a different license.
    Thank You

    Hi Gnishika,
In terms of crediting the composter, it is really up to you whether to just credit the composer or purchase a license.  The safest thing to do would be to contact the copyright owner of the music (which may or may not be the composer) and get permission to use the music (either with our without a fee attached).
    Thanks,
